Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil: I AM EVIL

Good morning, Young Lovers. :)

I'm refreshed from celebrating a couple days of rest during Sukkot, the Jewish Feast of The Tabernacles, with my Messianic Jewish second family. The first two days of this festival traditionally forbid work, so I stayed off my computer for the most part so as not to be tempted. This blog may be a little late today...

(Oh wait! You weren't worried were you? You know Aunty Raley's default mode is: DAY LATE, DOLLAR $HORT! ;) )

This post is inspired by events that actually happened a few days ago as well... When I was on THE TWITTER.... I said on the twitter... not the other thing... yes, I know it rhymes with it ;).. Maybe it's pretty much the same thing, though, sometimes, Young Lovers...

I mean, Twitter and all social media are great ways to improve our business and share important ideas, but sometimes I think we... you know I'm going to say it... digress.

At least I did. I responded to a tweet about the timing of K-Stew and R-Patz's big break-up/make-up. I felt it was fishy and a publicity stunt manufactured to get the most out of events that were probably going to happen anyway. I wont go into details. I'm ashamed.

I'm ashamed for two things really. The first, is that I gossipped about this at all. Now, I don't think the person who offered up the question was looking for gossip. I think it was to encourage discussion. But I didn't discuss, really, Young Lovers. ...

Let's just say I tweeted waaaaaaaaaaaaay more than six times. #brokemajortweetingetiquette #oopsididitagain #caniblameitonextremeexhaustionorsomething

#NO

I can't. Because the truth is, I know better, and being tired isn't an excuse for bad behavior. Neither is being tempted by the immediate gratification of being able to throw my mental diarrhea out there with a click and few key-strokes.

The second thing I'm ashamed of is that I don't know any of the human beings involved in this situation. And, they are human beings. Just like me. They are artists. Just like me. And they deserve the benefit of the doubt and their privacy. Just like me.

It doesn't really matter if they live in the public and perform for the public and ... on it goes. The projects they build to give us entertainment are what's for sale. Not the rest of it. And if none of us read those things or tuned in, you have to wonder, would it still exist? I'm not passing judgement on anybody, but I'm going to take more active responsibility for what I'm contributing.

When I first started writing my latest finished novel, I joined Facebook in order to meet other writers, hopefully connect with readers who would enjoy reading me, and to build my platform or brand. I've of course expanded on to Twitter, as many of you know, and resurrected my blog. But at the core of all it, I've wanted to stay true to and exemplify the real Raley Blue.

Raley Blue is the girl, next door. She's human. She does goofy things, like celebrating AureliaBluesDay Tuesdays. She takes herself too seriously. She's a mom. She's a sister. She's a daughter and granddaughter. She's a best friend. And above all, SHE IS KIND TO EVERYONE.

And now, she is sorry.

I am sorry, Young Lovers, for putting yucky things out there into the Universe and for polluting the community that I thrive in. The community you and I built together in a web of cyberspacey goodness.

We are all simply human. We can do bad things. We can do good things. We will make mistakes. But let's try to do kind things. I'll go first...
